Mozilla Releases Firefox 12 : A Review

mozila

As last year Mozila Firefox went on a rapid release phase like chrome, It continued to be the same. The latest version for Firefox is released as Mozila Firefox-12.
In my last post I have talked about the stable Firefox 10.But Firefox 12 looks pretty cool in terms of usability.
Firefox 12 also adds 85 improvements to built-in developer tools, Mozilla said. "For example, developers no longer need to reload the page to see messages in the Web Console, and Scratchpad adds Find and Jump to Line commands to the editor. Our improvements touched on every one of the built-in tools," the company said.

Pros:
  • Fast and initial freezes came down.(IE,Chrome and Mozila-12 took all most same time to load a page)
  • Java scripts performs well in Firefox-12(Tested on my blog)
  • Firefox Sync is integrated into Firefox, giving you access to your Awesome Bar history, bookmarks, open tabs and passwords across computers and mobile devices
  • Security wise it is much more update ---it has implemented  HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS). Secure privacy mode enabled. It can be disabled too.
  • Help on easy navigation
  • Greater help and support ever
  • More upgraded developer tool support. So its developer who are primarily benefited. (Yes I tested again on my blog)...It simply means you can test your CSS,HTML code on this tool before implementing on the actual page.
  • Automatic Add on checking .It performs this checking operation when it is opened first. Most of my addons are  supported.
  • Firefox is fully equipped to accommodate mulch-touch gestures with OSX and Windows 7.
  • Panorama of pinned sites.More sophisticated way to browse.
  • Find a word or phase become very easy.
  • Stylish go button in form of -->
  • Tab glow feature when a tab is getting updated. Say a mailbox is opened in a Tab and a new mail has come the corresponding Tab will glow to keep you notified about the fact.
  • Firefox takes graphics card support to show the Graphics related activities so videos, picture and HTML-5 are the major look out area.
  • CSS-3D transform is supported.
  • The “missing” forward button. It’s actually a feature to save your toolbar space and will auto-appear if you ever perform a Back operation.
  • New <bdi> element for bi-directional text isolation, along with supporting CSS properties
Cons:
  • Still initial freeze stops me from browsing
  • Look like it is lagging in Flash and pdf showing
  • There are no thumbnail previews or mouse gestures
  • Look like it can not handle images properly.Check out some part of my blog's area displayed by Chrome and Firefox-12 image
